What’s up it’s me, Jacqueline! a.k.a Jackie. Jacqueline Filifili Simealai Halo-Ofisa Tavana is the name. so you’ve probably already kinda guessed from the long name that I am a full and proud Samoan.
For the past 18 year I’ve been living “straight hood” in Mangere. South Auckland has been home since June 2001. Both of my parents are full samoan and I was raised with a strong passion for my culture, tradition and religion. My culture, my religion and my family is what I hold close to myself. I am a person who loves to find creative ways to express my culture. Why? I have this “thing” where I wanna show the outside world what a real islander from the hood has to show.
What do I see in my “future ahead”. Nothing exciting yet. I am the type of peson where I just go with the flow and figure out things while moving forward. My main goal in general is TO BE HAPPY IN THE SUCESS that I would love to set for myself. My goals consist in having fun in life and living it to the fullest where I feel accomplished. I don’t do plans, I don’t set things up and Im not that type of person that doesnt like being thought for or have thing thought out for me .
In terms of perfomance communication… I only about 2 year of acting experience in my last two years of high school . Did I enjoy it? not really. I didnt have the experience that I wanted. My confidence shrunk aswell as my grades in that performaning arts class. However, the one thing I wanna get out from this Performance communication course is to be more confident in my own voice. Do I consider myself a good actress? Hell no. Am I a loud person that will express herself willingly? hell yeah.
